PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION PROGRAM

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP), which can also be described as therapeutic mentorship. This service is therapeutic as we work collaboratively with existing therapists on existing diagnoses for children, adolescents and adults.

Empowering the inner you to become a better you!

PRP collectively works with individuals ages 5 and older as well as their support system including their therapist and/or psychiatrist to promote a healthier lifestyle through effective social skills, coping skills, self-management skills, behavioral strategies, family strengthening, workforce development, communication skills, time management, and healthy relationship skills. Services are provided between the home, community, and on-site based on the needs of the client.

                 PRP PROCESS

  1. Referral is made by a licensed mental health professional (therapist/psychiatrist)

  2. Once approved, a PRP Coordinator is assigned

  3. An intake is completed

  4. Service begins and an IRP is developed with the client and their support system

BGTPS provides reoccurring monthly groups to the clients that we serve on-site and off-site. These groups are provided by our staff and contractual professionals to incorporate fun and creative activities throughout the therapeutic process while teaching and implementing skills to address barriers to success and increase positive behaviors.
